1836/1336 Capped Bust Half, Grade Please

    Here is an interesting half. It's a 1836 over 1336 O-108; R-3 Capped Bust Half in VF-30 I'd guess. What do you thinK? BTW, that last one is is at 7X with my new macro lens :)

    Nice one Bone!!!....I was thinking that it was a borderline F/VF....since its a 1338/1838 it might get the bump to VF....Nice coin!!!

    The reverse on that one is in great shape - this time it's the obverse holding it back from a higher grade. The book says star centers will be very weak on a VF30 - I can see just 1 in the pic. If you can see other star centers with the coin in hand - then I'd say an honest VF30 ;)

    NGC would grade the coin a 40.

    PCGS might be a bit tougher, but at least 30.

    Looks good to me for a VF-30. My initial thought was just better than VF-20, so VF-30 works for me.
