New Walker half

I bought this today at my local coin shop. As you can see its an MS-64 in an old PCGS holder ( **rattle rattle** ) Its my first true unc walking liberty and for the price and condition I am quite happy. Seeya

What'd you have to pay for it?

 

$65...looked up after and saw that prices where closer to 57-60ish but I dont mind paying a little more for a nice coin

 

I really like the Walking Liberty halves and that is a pretty coin. Congrats on adding it to your collection.

Yes, that looks like an awfully nice 64 based on the images. Rattlers are very cool and there are sometimes some nice for grade coins in them.

Beautiful coin. I like the fact that it's in an OGH. Those are on the verge of becoming collectibles themselves.

 

it depends on the person...but if you ebay old-pcgs holders there are strong premuims....I like the holder and the coin...personally if the coin was not up to snuff I wouldnt care about what the holder says

 

If I'm going to buy a holdered coin, I would buy one with a modern slab. I think the old ones are too easy to fake.
