i think that this coin (wwf 50p) is an early contender for the coin of the year award for 2011, it is by far the most imaginative coin ever produced by the UK.
2013, definite maybe, probably more like a category winner than COTY in my opinion. They tend to run 2 yrs behind. The 2011 nominees will be voted on in January and are all 2009 dated. Still, a really nice coin, though. (There are some amazingly artistic coins out there.) Edit: More Info Here
