How is it possible that an 2007 MS68RD ( http://cgi.ebay.com/2007-P-Lincoln-...76?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item2c593a8a70) worth $25? With 3,762,400,000 minted that year, I just can't fathom a value unless it was the only one graded at MS68. Forgive my ignorance would someone only pay to get it graded or buy one graded bc they are trying to complete a registry. Wait a second..this is my 1000 post, I guess I need to come up with a contest soon Thanks, Shrek P.S would someone please give me a pop. report on a 1960/1970-s S/D in MS64-MS68. Thanks again
Chris, Sorry I am looking to purchase a 1960-p and 1970-s Small Date in grades MS64 - 68 but though I was hoping to get a pop. report before I purchase them.
NGC Census: 1960-P Small Date MSRD: 64 - 76; 65 - 270; 66 - 541; 67 - 22 None higher 1970-S Small Date MSRD: 64 - 158; 65 - 174; 66 - 82; 67 - 4 None higher They also list RB & BN, but I assumed you would prefer RED. Chris
I don't know if this is helpful, but when I am looking for pop reports I look up heritage auctions for the particular coin and they generally give both pcgs and ngc. They may or may not be 100% accurate, but for my puposes it has always been close enough.
Big thanks for the post, I will check HA out and Brother I couldnt help but laugh...where in OH are you?
First off, this is a SMS coin. It has no more to do with the 3,762,400,000 minted than proofs do. Still, $25 is probably somewhat high. On the other hand, if it were part of the 3,762,400,000 minted, it would be worth about $800. Out of all those 3,762,400,000 minted, PCGS has so far only graded 4 (with none finer) at MS-68. Makes you wonder how they managed to get an MS69 back in 1919, doesn't it?
