Hi Folks, Just posting my new purchase. George III 1819 Lix no stops on edge. Rated in Seaby ESC at R3 (extremely rare). I guess the issue is the grade. I bought it at nearly EF........will go well with my AU Secundo.
Yea....spend so much on coins all I have is a rubbish webcam to take pictures with.....you know you got it bad when you can't afford a camera, just coins!
my latest purchase is a 1798 madrass presidency 1/48 rupee but unfortunately my camera battery is flat and i can't find the bloody charger.
beautiful looking piece. Can you tell me more about this new piece? I recognize the bull head but not the "coin". When I Google the reverse words they translate to "Shame be to him who thinks evil of it". Is it a coin or a medal and what metal is it made of?
bahumbug Having caught me on the phone to Paris for the iNumis auction coming up my wife just asked what kind of Xmas are we going to have? I felt like saying it's going to have to be cancelled because of the Crown and Gold Ducats I'm buying.......thought better of it and said you can have all my love (that's free).........hopefully my 2yr old and 5yr old haven't worked out the difference between an expensive present and a cheap one yet!
Hi..I'm not aware that this coin is the bull head, though I do have the half crown which is and the neck is very muscled up.....hence the bull head term. The legend is common and it is actually my old regimental motto too. 'Evil to those who think ill of it.' The coin is more common with stops around the edge, which this doesn't, so catalogues at £450 in Spink for EF. I'm sure there are others who know more about it, I'm just the owner......I don't know much about my car either lol
