Nice pickup, I have always had a thing for offset errors. An offset 2000 Cent was the first error I ever owned!
I could do some research to find out what years this one could be, I went thru some change and the 2000 Ps had a big P and this one has a small P and it almost looks crooked slightly....but yea errors are cool, I hope to get a quarter this way too but the bigger the coin the harder and more expensive it will be.
What do you mean 2-cent nickel? Also I did some research and I think this would be 1980 - to 1984 due to the small mint mark from Phil.
Hopefully in the next few weeks a quarter and a dime show up like that at the shop , so I have one of each modern one, besides 1/2 dollar and up.
When they originally make the coins, do they go into rolls or do they go into bags? If they go into rolls how did this one ever get thru as its obviously wouldn't fit into a roll.
