Hi all, I am watching this note in an auction that will end tonight. Obviously it is being sold as having the authentic signature of the treasurer at the time. Does having this signature make the note a rarity or something special?
I sure hope it does, I have several of these and some of these people (like Priest) are no long living. I've got a few double signed.
I am glad to hear that coinmaster1 - I gave $40 for it not knowing much about it. I don't think it was a bad investment. I sure have never seen another one.
Not something I would buy so I can't say. All of the ones I have I didn't pay for. I got them the hard way, I asked the office holder to sign them.
Though cool i doubt that it would bring much of a premium as it actually hurts the value I found out this hard way! though what i had was not a note i think it still applies here I was at a baseball card show several years ago and had purchase a 1959 Topps baseball Card of the great "Mickey Mantle" the card was in mint condition!! it cost me about $1,500 And it just so happens that Mickey was autographing items at the show i thought i would have Him sign it thinking the card would be worth way more money WRONG!!! the card actually lost About 15% of it,s value, i guess you could say lesson learned!
