What grade do you guys think this coin is? It is a 1943 S with a weak strike on the date and mint mark. I just want to get some opinions versus the grade attributed. Thanks!

Maybe it is just your pictures, but that sure looks to be replated to me.

Question. How can you tell ? I have s mint set I bought back in 1958 from a dealer. He had them in a plastic envelope and they were shiny as chrome. My brother touched them and left his fingerprints on them. But they look like brand new coins except for that. I always wondered if they were plated in some way ?

Just as an FYI, it was MS65. I broke it out of the holder and put it into my change pile to prevent some other poor soul from getting it in a slab.

let me see if i get this... it was slabbed and you cracked it out? who slabbed it? if it was slabbed by one of the big tpg's, then i don't think they would've graded it if it were plated. but i could be wrong.

I pick one just like that in a junk set a few weeks ago. Definitely replated.
