I'm going...Planning on going on Thursday, then staying for the Heritage Auction that evening. Don't know if I will make other days -- depends on what I find on Thursday. The Heritage Auction has some really interesting copper this year.
Todd, I have seen your work and am glad you will be at the show -- I will definitely come by as I have some coins I would like to have you photograph. PM me and I'll tell you what I have. I also have a few questions for you. John
Are you talking about the Money Show of the Southwest December 2-4 ? We are definitely in ! Since that's my home turf, I can show ya around town. Let's get together for dinner Friday night ! I don't remember our table number. Look us up and come on by !
I'll be there. In addition, my little coin club (Pasadena Coin Club.....15 miles south of Houston) is having their coin show this week...Friday through Sunday. I'll be at both Shows...
Sorry I went yesterday and just getting back to the site. I did go for a while yesterday. Sorry I missed you guys!
I went Thursday and met Rick and John while there. It reminded me of the Goebel line, "Did you ever think the whole world is a tuxedo and you were a pair of brown shoes?" Those gentlemen are the nicest and kindest people you could ever hope to meet. Both also have some AWESOME coins. Bobbeth87, let me know what you found out on your 1830.
Marshall, It was great to meet you, Rick, Todd, and Charmy at the show. By the way, my 1909 S VDB got graded VF25 by PCGS with no problems noted. Yeah!
Marshall...I met both 900fine and pennylady. It was great to meet them both. A couple of people looked at the 1830, and I'm waitinng to hear back from one of them. But one of the persons said it was a Newcome #5. I'll let you know when I hear from the other guy. bob
That is one of the Obverse 4 varieties along with Newcome #6. I'll be interested in how they explain Star 10 pointing between dentils and star 13 pointing in the middle of a dentil.
