Looking for your thoughts on the grade of these nickels. They were purchased from Paul Sims Inc. years ago and were supposed to be Premium Quality BU.. Didn't know at the time what they were all about, but it didn't take long to figure it out. So what would you grade these at?

Hope the pics are clear enough and they were taken before I leaned not to use a purple background...

The 38 P looks to have some wear on the high points AU at best, the 38 D AU as it has some small scratches the 38 S AU. If your back ground and pictures were a bit lighter and closer they may look alittle better. The S has some tonning but its looks to be spotty. How much did you pay for them? If I may ask? Can you reshoot the pic's? better lighting and a white background.

If I remember correctly, it was one of their monthly specials and was about $10. I'll re-shoot them tomorrow and show and 09-vdb. The worst part about these people is when I ask for a refund, they sent replacement coins and they love to argue about their quality. Once they have cash in hands, look out...

Sorry to say they all look like sliders to me. Dealers like the one you mentioned, and others like Mt. vernon coins, who regularly advertise in numismatic publications, should be held to ANA standards.
