The mohur makes a comeback with one small change of the tiger instead of the lion but what a coin. Possibly the best design india has produced in the last 100 years
well they are going to ake a 75 rupee coin. thats 5 mohurs there is also the 10 rupee 2/3 mohur and the 5 rupee 1/3 mohur
I told myself I wasn't going to buy any 21st century Indian coins, but I think I'll have to double think that and buy one of these proof sets.
forget the proof set the golden mohur has made a comeback looka t the 5 rs golden coin same design but looks just like the mohur of yesteryears if you want ot to buy the set i would suggest you hurry up time is a running out and buy it dorectly from the mint and not from dealers
Do you have a link to the pre-order site for the 5 rs golden coin? All I could find were the proof and circulated sets... I was planning on getting a bank draft cut today during lunch.
omg no no dont do that. buy the proof set and pay online using a credit card. paying with a draft is not safe unless you send it registered post even then u wont get an AD back so here is the website and if you are just looking for the 1 rs 2 rs 5 rs and 10 rs coins and not the giant 75 rs coin you can buy them off ebay the mint doesnt sell the golden coin by itself for that you will have to wait till it hits ebay they also had a solid gold token released with the same design it was being sold for us$400 last time i checked but since it wasnt a coin i let it go
Okay, I have it sorted out now... I was in the right spot, I just didn't see the link to buying it with a credit card. Have you heard anything on mintages yet? I want to buy both, but I'm thinking the proof set would be a better buy over the circulated set.
