Kind of too bright for bronze, might have been dipped. It shows some dirt residue in a few places.

    coin color

i bought a bunch of large cents.the lady i bought them off said her grand father collected them and they were all in a case for years.
i was just wondering if it actually was made of a different metal..what sort of dipping would creat this color. does anyone know. also i have a canada 1859 large cent
its after turning a lot of green but underneath in spots its looks a brassy or bronze color.can brass or bronze corrode over time? hope for some suggestions on this.thats y i asked if it was dipped strange there was no other colored ones. thanks
