I posted on another forum not much replies to this so thought id bring it over here. I was searching my change . After seeing the DC of columbia quarter with doubling in the words above the piano , the floating tree by the lake on another coin. I started looking for doubling a lil closer on my quarters. In search of double die state quarters . a website said the state quarters double die from the center outwards due to hubbing vibration effect not sure. Picked up this nebraska quarter . BOOM it appeared doubled with the naked eye eazy for me to see. Closer look tripled under magnifiction. After a few days of looking over and over I have come to the conclusion it has been quadrupled. in the words " CHIMNEY " with some very faint double/tripling in "rock" but the word chimney prob covers up and fourth impression being the doubling tripling moves upwards. Not sure if this is a die error (like the extra tree or the District of columbia doubling in the words above the piano) A degrading die ( have not see the quadrupling effect online of a degrading die) A die trail ( the coin struck while being minted) No clue , I am very new to errors and just want someone to give opinions. There is a coin show in jan in tampa,fl I might take it to them , or if suggested take it to sarasota to NCG to let them examine it being its only 30 min away. thanks for any help :smile
