Die Crack? What do you guys think?

    This afternoon I was going through some old stuff that I collected as a kid. Even though I'm not a collector of Canadian coins I did pick up a lot of them in my younger years and never parted with them. This 1940 Canada cent caught my eye, as think it might have a small die crack going through "REX" on the reverse. Watcha all think? :)

    Sorry for the poor picture quality. I tried to get the area in question as large as I could.

    Looks to be a die crack.

    Does it cast a shadow? If so it is probably a die crack. (Could also be something else, e.g. die scratch, that would cause a raise line on the coin.)

    The slightly irregular "lightning bolt" look suggests a die crack IMO.
