Gold tone?

    I don't think it to be a coin because there is no date but it's a little heavy for it's size. Could be plated. Looks to be Mexican. Any ideas on what this is or represents?

    What you've got is a Mexican marriage token (recuerdo matrimonial= wedding memory/keepsake). The bottom picture is upside down-- I believe it is supposed to represent two hearts joined in holy matrimony (hence the cross).

    Mike Locke has researched Mexican tokens. The heads side of your token resembles the token at the very bottom of this web page:
