I normally would not touch a holed coin, but I did not have a silver 3 cent piece, and I bought this at my coin club for only $4. I was pleased with the purchase.

I also bought this 2 cent piece also for $4 at the coin club. I didn't have one of these either. So, for $8, I will fill two holes in a yet to be bought type set (I will start working on that some time in the future).

Sorry the pics aren't great, but here ya go. The 2 cent piece is a 1865

Well $8 in this case went a long way. Just another step closer to finishing that type set.
Then maybe some upgrades can be in order?! :D
Stick with it Bob, can't wait to see it when it is all said and done.

That 3 cent piece was probably a button for somebody back in the day. I also just bought my first silver 3 cent piece a couple days ago for the type set. You don't see many of them around on the forum.

There were worse ways to spend $8! Good pickups.

Yep, at some point I'll upgrade, but I couldn't pass these up for the price.

Great to see you Travis, it's been a while!

Nice pick ups! I got you beat on the 3 cent, picked up someone's "pocket piece" for $2 ;-). I love the silver 3 cents.
