Could anyone tell me what the cheapest way to ship a box of nickels would be? I currently pay $5.65 (includes shipping confirmation) and I use a padded envelope. Just wondering if I could be doing something different?

    Thanks in advance!

You could place the padded envelope in a flat rate envelope, and ship it that way. It costs 3.85, but delivery confirmation would be more, as would insurance.

Darn. I had been selling a lot of coins on ebay, but after shipping charges, ebay fees, and paypal fees, I was literally out of over 1/4 of the sales. It's just not worth it IMO. Everyone is jacking up costs : (

Well, the flat rate envelope looks like a better deal then even with shipping confirmation. I wouldn't even need the padded envelope then.

    Thanks for the info!

IF you are mailing a WHOLE box I would suggest a Flat Rate BOX...they used to be $7.70 but they are a little bit more now.

I'm not an ebay person but my son is big into that stuff and tells me you always have the buyer pay for the shipping. If that is true what difference dose it make as to how much is costs?

Have you thought of asking the buyer to pay for the shipping & handling?
Most of the people on internet do it this way, unless other arrangements have been made.

Then just put them in a bubble mailer and send them first class....
