I just purchased my first ANA Membership! It's been a long time coming too! I look forward to becoming a member of the world's best numismatic organization, and all of the benefits that go with it, but the two things that I most look forward to are the library access, and going to the World's fair of Money. Grading courses, counterfeit detection courses... I am sooo excited! Thanks Matt and Carlton for talking me into this!!! ANA Show, here comes The Coin Show!!!
Congrats... I got my membership for free last year with that teletrade promotion, but after seeing everything that membership can offer, I will definately be renewing.
Welcome aboard. I hope you enjoy your membership. I am coming up on 25 years myself and I still enjoy it. (It helps to live 6 miles from ANA headquarters.)
yeah, Hobo, my Uncle Dick was a neighbor of yours. He used to host cadets from the Air Force Academy until he died just a few years ago. My Aunt Marge still lives there.
I liked walking into the Boston ANA show for free. And they gave away a cool token [fake] $20 gold coin momento to members. I will renew my membership
The magazine is world-class and very well done. Still haven't used the NGC submission privileges, but I will someday. Magazine is more than worth the money.
Way to go Mike!! I wonder if Teletrade is gonna have the same promotion this year? I'll give them till the end of December and then if they don't I'm gonna buy in myself!! Just gotta get the dollars first. lol
I will need to renew with getting a hard copy of the magazine. I have only received one by mail. I do not get to the internet versions. I will put this on my to-do-list. Thanks for the reminder.
I purchased my ANA membership earlier this year because I wanted to be able to submit coins to NGC directly. Well now I finally have a half a dozen coins that I'd like to submit , but am confused as to the "Value" and tier system. For instance , one category shows: Economy $16 21 working days 27 working days All non-gold U.S. coins valued under $300, and and another shows: Express $55 48 hours 4 working days U.S. coins valued at $10,000 or less. What value category am I supposed to chose when I do not know for sure how the coin will grade. Am I supposed to chose the highest Tier I feel the coin will grade or just the face value of the coin ? My example is a 1935-S Lincoln Wheat Cent that I feel very strongly will grade MS67 or higher (based on PhotoGrade , Teletrade & Heritage completed auctions). There is a HUGE leap in value between say MS65 to MS68 due in part to the population figures. Do I chose ECONOMY because face value is 1 cent or do I chose EXPRESS because I think the coin could be valued at $9,000.00 ? Thanks in Advance
You send it based on value, not face value. I would send it express since you think it could be worth over $300
