It depends a lot on the grading service. The market generally tends to be most favorable to PCGS- and NGC-graded coins, with secondary preference for ANACS-graded coins, and maybe ICG as well. Other grading services get little, if any recognition in the market. With that said, your coin, if it's PCGS or NGC, had been selling from $1700 or so to a little over $2000 in auctions earlier this year, but it seems to have come down a bit in price recently.
I didn't include the High Relief values in my previous reply. The High Relief is bid @ $26,000.00 and the ask is $26,700.00 as of 11/12/10
Assuming it is a No Motto (non-high relief) that is a market correct price. Generic gold premiums are down right now, making it a good time to buy. These were well over $2,000 last winter and might be again by January. Good pick up!
