Please take a look at this coin. I think it could be the chile 10 Centavos 1920/5, or KM-156.2a. I tried to google what that coin would look like but didnt find much. I was hoping to find a picture of what to look for. The 1920, and 1920/5 are not much of a value differance, but it would be good to know what this coin is. It is 17mm, and has the designers initials, so its not the coveted 1920 KM-166. obverse/reverse and then date closeups
KM-156.2a, 40% Silver, 1.5g, last year of type, varieties exist. If you're going to be dealing with world coins a lot you might want to invest in a book that list all the coins of the 20th century.
DJ, I checked out some of the numismatic sites from Chile and South Americas (EBay) Mercado Libre. Can't find anything about your particular over date. I did find out that Chile has a 50 peso coin from 2008 with Chile misspelled. The mint spelled the country Chiile on the coin. Oh, and the mint director lost his job. Lou
