One of my personal favourites. Mali is a large landlocked nation in West Africa, and has amazing banknotes.

Super nice Bank Notes from Mali !
This note is not as colorfull....but it's from my hometown.

 

I'm a big fan of that set from Mali as well. They were issued from 1970-1984 and are part of the huge collection of notes designed by Pierrette Lambert. From the perspective of modern "French" banknotes, she's probably the most prolific artist and has designed some of the nicest ones, IMO.

I posted this one just a couple of days ago in another thread, but just stumbled into this thread this evening. While not as colorful as some of the gorgeous examples here, the artwork makes up for it, imho.

 

i specialise in french bank notes and if my camera was working i would put as many images on her as i could, the new clydesdale bank scottish issues are beautiful as well.

 

this is the new clydesdale bank £5 note, sorry i've taken the image from ebay as i can't upload my own photo.




it is arguably the nicest bank note ever issued in the uk.
