Just got the grade back and it MS65'ed Just as I figured it would. Pics next week when it comes back.
You still did well. I'm curious to know if there was actually some negative point's in that " skirt " area at the knee or was it the lens.
Hey, Honestly I'm happy. Making these coins that jump huge numbers between grades is next to impossible without the right coin. What I mean there is that when you have a coin like this that makes a huge jump they are more likely to 64 a coin that is on the cusp then to put it into that magic 65 holder.
If you're going to sell it, I would try and cross it to PCGS. I suspect a big jump in sale price if you do.
How that is not a 65+ I have absolutely no idea. It only needed a little sharper of a strike on the eagle's leg to be a 66 unless there's some hidden tiny marks on the gown the pics do not show. I'm sure it looks different in hand than in the pics as all coins do. Anyways, she's a beauty and congrats on your find Dutch.
