It's all part of the new branding and identity campaign that they are unveiling with the new logo, look and feel. Welcome to marketing.

Personally, I think Moy is one of the least productive Mint Directors . Not to mention , the Mint is practically bankrupt.

What is it that they're selling? Holders without the coins?

The Canadian Mint does pretty much the same thing.

+1. Doesn't seem like Obama's bill to extend the Mint's budget will ever go into effect. :(

Boy you must be really upset that the mint used to sell cuff links, bolo ties, money clips, tie clasps, plush presentation boxes, puzzles, and many other items years ago. LONG before Moy ever came to the office.

Since when? Since the Mint takes its operating budget for the next year out of the seniorage profits before the balance is turned over to the general fund, the only way they could be bankrupt would be if they consumed all of the senoirage profits. I really don't think that has happened. They make be running a temporary shortage for the fiscal year because cost are higher than budgeted but i wouldn't call them bankrupt.
