I am excited to go through this $30 in us pennies The bank teller told me three keywords collectors love to hear when buying in bulk ...grandparents....saving....years The entire discussion with the teller was: These all just came in today Are they all from one source? Yes Hopefully they are not from a collector Oh goodness no, these came from a couple who have been saving these over the years and their grandkids have been slowly rolling them up... Put a smile on my face Wish me luck!!!
Here are my roll searching finds from today Out of $30 USD 1533 Copper Pennies <=1982 8 Wheat Pennies including a great condition, well toned 1946-S (Nice) And more importantly 6 Dimes Not too bad and not the greatest roll search
Good luck! Go easy on your eyes. Take breaks, stand up and stretch now and then, use magnification if you need to and good lighting too. I see you changed your Avatar again! Is that you're own pic in the portrait now?
Dimes! Why can't I ever find any dimes. You are the second poster today to speak of dimes in the penny rolls. Very nice. Congratulations.
You will find them, when a lazy roller just "Fills" their cointainers with anything that will fit. Most times people don't even count their rolls I have found some have 55+ and some are about 48 coins. So you win some you loose some
So here is the final total's: 58 Wheat pennies all common 2301 CU pennies 8 Canadian Cents Mixed dates 1963-2007 And!!!!! The coin I will treasure for all of time Nothing! So this concludes this month's $80 search
Ouch! Makes me think of the old $100 trick people use to do: Rip a $100 into a P shape this way each half has an equally "larger" look to it & each side has a serial. Take one half to one bank and exchange it for a new $100, and take the other half to another bank and exchange it out. Banks have since caught onto this (from many years ago) and decided they will not accept a bill unless both serial numbers are visible.
