At the 1962 Seattle World's Fair, two large armored trucks pulled in, each carrying 500,000 silver dollars! They were all part of the One Million Silver Dollar Display, a very famous part of numismatic history. Three dealers decided to pile up as many Morgans and Peaces that they could and created this display which was up for nearly a year. In June 1963, the displays 1,000,000 visitor, a woman from California, received 100 of the coins. When the World's Fair ended, the coins were eventually sold separately or even by the bag.
