Shop it around various dealers & get some quotes. Or try and sell it in a lot on the classifieds here or ebay.

I'm trying to stay away from eBay since all the fees x_x. I might call some dealers tomorrow to see what there paying. The morgans on the bottom of the first picture *well 3 of them* were cracked out of slabs so I might try reshooting those and putting those on the bay.

I actually bought some coins maybe a year ago on ebay and the coins came in the tin.

If you are going to put these up for auction ANYWHERE, you might want to put the coins in some form of encapsulation, ANY kind, just to make the presentation look better for a quicker sale if you decide to post pictures.

This isn't an advertisement of sale, edited I'm just trying to get some ideas on where to maybe look / prices to expect on silver.

NGC graded this 1885-P MS 63
*Notice the thumb print on the obverse about 12 o clock and then again around the chin.
*The reverse has an extremely large die crack *i think its a die crack* and again on the reverse towards the bottom theres a thumb print.

Ebay will hit you with fees.

A dealer will pay for the silver on most of these coins I'm afraid unless they really need them.

If you DO go to a dealer have them organized and let your intentions be known if you're out "shopping". Dealers don't want to spend time giving you a free "appraisal". They want to buy.

Well would it be better to call around and ask something along the lines of "Im interested in selling some coins, I have ___________ how much are you paying"

I received these rolls from the mint, wasn't to thrilled when I saw the end coins were damaged.

Yes it would but realize a coin dealer is always going to want to see the coins. An MS63 Morgan that WAS in a slab will get a bit more as will nice Franklins in most cases but like I said it depends a lot on if the dealer really needs them.

I work in a coin shop. We buy collections like yours frequently. The more knowledgable you are on the phone and in person the better money you'll get.

    Best of luck to you.

Thank you, I've only delt with one coin shop ever and its the only one I know of in my area. All the Morgans/Peace were actually bought from him in 2x2's. Everything else I acquired via eBay etc.

I really wish we had the old open section for selling :( I personally felt it had a lot more traffic. I sold multiple items when we had the "OPEN" section since then I havent had much luck with the "Classified".

eBay fees are not so bad in the light that you will receive exactly what they are worth. A dealer will never buy them for what they are worth because they need to sell and make a profit. The facts are that some things are more convenient to bring to a dealer and some things are worth taking the time to auction yourself and as others have said, putting some of your items on here for a price in the auctions/open forums might be wise as well. I do not collect U.S. Currency for the most part so my opinion on your case is at the very least unbiased and with out self interest ;)

Part it out if selling online, you can make much more if you have the time. Is the penny marked 122 cu or CU clad ZN? I would love to own a CU error of that nature. Amazing collection btw
