Anyone seen this one before. Its similar to the brass counterfeit Guinea gambling tokens but this is undated. "Dick Seymour Silver King" I`m mystified.
Just bumping this and just realised if you change the name around it could be interpreted as being a pornographic slogan See More D... Oh dear LOL
The UK national archives has a photograph (not online): Photograph of Dick Seymour (Silver King) founder of the Seymour and Storey Turf Accountants. 270/5 No Date These documents are held at Greater Manchester County Record Office http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/a2a/records.aspx?cat=124-270&cid=-1#-1 I think that a "Turf Accountant" takes bets on British horse racing.
willieboyd2 Thankyou for that, your search brought up more than mine, this is the only item that can be found with the same name. I`m wondering if its an advertising token, I might call the Turf Accountants (Bookies) up and ask if they know anything about it.
Dick Seymour was my great (great, I think) grandfather. I think I remember my dad telling me that he sold these coins to the rag and bone man when he was a small boy.
