I am just curious as to opinion on how much value a coin such as this would have considering it is holed? WITHOUT the hole, she would grade a solid fine. I have only briefly looked at the coin and therefore have no photographs at this time. Although this is something that I normally would not think of touching, for the right price, my mind could easily change. All opinions appreciated.

Look at the Heritage Auction archives for a holed 1798 large eagle dollar. I'd guess somewhere between $200 and $300.

Depends on the variety there are some R-5 and R-6's. As mentioned check the heritage archive for something comparable.

When I see a hole, I move the decimal place one to the left.

    indeed.

Although while putting together my holed type set I have sometimes had to pay more than 10%. Usually 20%, or even 30%.
It really depends on the coin though.
