British India 8 Annas Restrike?

    Its a copy, without the word COPY or REPLICA on it.
    8 Annas - Copper-Nickel (1919-1920)
    Y-41 KM-520
    This coin was introduced in 1919 to replace the silver Half Rupee, because of the increased price of silver.

    It wasn't very popular, though, and due to this and a large number of counterfeits, it was discontinued in 1920

    and withdrawn from circulation (it ceased to be legal tender in October 1924). In 1920 it was produced only at the Bombay mint.

    Odd thing is I don`t see an item number on that auction and although I know the seller is in India I don`t see an item location either.

    That's what I thought!!! It's odd how people would claim it to be a restrike while it is a replica made with a totally different metal. I did not notice it initially but thought about it for a minute and realized it!

    It is fake or forgery - lot of such coins are on sale , genuine one are approximately USD 50-75 sold in aution 2 months ago in India
