Hi all, Does $1.25 per coin sound like a fair price to offer someone for a lot of post 1900 Liberty nickels (grade roughly G4)? Thanks.
That sounds like a fair price. You might could go higher. Maybe $3-$4. A quarter a piece is what I would price them at. Thats just me though.
he said a dollar 25 per coin which is outrageous. I am CT's V nickel expert and I would offer no more than 60-70 cents per coin.
$1.25 is way to high for these, especially in that condition. They are common and not too many people collect them. I believe vnickels estimation is spot on.
Ok, thanks all. This is perfect. Was trying to find reliable pricing earlier ....but in the coin world you know how that is.....
Yeah retail is $.60-$.70. The last wholesale lot of like 1,200 coins I put on EBay brought $.46 each. Dealers will pay $.35 or so assuming nothing is wrong with them.
Well my sense before was that 1.25 was being a little generous.... but lol, thanks to the feedback I see it was waaay too generous.
Whoops. I thought he meant 1.25 for the whole lot lol. WOW. I am obviously in need of new glasses. Sorry mrak. NO. That is NOT a good price. Like I said, I would only pay a quarter a piece in G4. I doubt I can get them that cheap but its not something I'm real interested in anyways.
at the samecoin shop at the same visit I bought $200 worth of coin for $50. They had some f12 SLQs for 3.50 when the silver value was 5.00. I only bought one because I didn't realize the deal I was getting. I think the person working there realized I was getting a steal because she tried to charge me for a barber half when I bought a barber quarter
