I dont know about others from the great state of Michigan but I cannot wait for this show to arrive. Thought it would be cool to see who all is going and what you are hoping to come away from the show with. Me personally I would love to score one Absolute Monster Mercury. If I cannot find one than I would be happy if I can add at least two MS67*'s that I need for my set. Also does anybody know if a grading service will be there?
I have no idea about any of those questions but here's one for you. Where do you find if there is a coin show in your area?
http://www.coinshows.com/ but unfortunatly, I wont be making it this year. Count me in for the April one though! stainless
I will be there in my usual spot -back left 2 corner table of the main room. Not sure of the table number ,if I recall it may be 131 havent cheked yet.
All 175 tables for this event have been sold! If anybody wants some info about the show here is a good site. http://www.michigancoinclub.org/
I am the webmaster for a local coin club here in Mich. and we put all the shows on our website at http://hvns.org/coin shows.html that are given to me. Grading companies.. The only one that I know if is MMNS. I dont know if Teletrade is going to be there or not.. I will be there on Sat. "budgood", I will stop by and say hello. Condor I will try and look you up when I get there. Would like to meet you. I know Pennyguy, Mike Marotta and a few others will be there as well.
Yes I can. TeleTrade auctions coins, and being seen at coin shows is good for their business. Talk nice to them and you might get a nice lanyard for your loupe.
I was at the April show and it was great. I cant do this Nov but am sure it will be great for those that go.
I counted 184 tables and 153 dealers. See here http://www.michigancoinclub.org/Fall2010Guide.pdf The Educational Forum this year appears to be a blow-out: two hours and two concurrent sessions. Never before in history... I will be there all three days. I am making myself a namebadge with message board logos. Anyone want to get together for a snapshot? (See last year's CoinTalk guys on the link off the main page. From www.michigancoinclub.org, find the link on the right under MSNS Convention Highlights for Fall 2009. )
Dimefreak, you missed my response in post #6 where I said I'd be there Fri and Sat. (and it should be "You and I". )
Early Bird admission has been announced. (See the website.) Myself, I usually go with an open mind, rather than seeking to find one of this or that. I walk the bourse often, sometimes to look at the cases, sometimes to meet the dealers.
