Conder collectors will recognize this primary reference for Conder tokens. No reference book of 567 pages is likely to be devoid of errors, and Dalton & Hamer's book is no exception. The Summer 2008 issue of the Conder Token Collector's Journal contained an article by John Fisher (sadly deceased) called "The World Turned Upside Down". In that article John summarized the results of a survey in which he asked several major Conder dealers and collectors to suggest, based on their experience, which tokens rated rare or better in D&H were actually just common or scarce and which tokens rated common or scarce were actually rare or better. A notable example from the first category (listed as extremely rare but really not) is Wiltshire 21, a beautiful token but always available and certainly not RRR. From the second category (scarce but actually quite rare) is Kent 2, a penny of Orpington. The article also highlighted a variety of typographical errors in D&H as described in the snippet below.
