I'm looking to get a value that you would pay for a raw Complete set of carsOn city Morgans In G. No rim hits, cleaning or polishing.
    They're solid Good grade.

    Any values appreciated

    Thanks

You may want to consider ebay but I would list them for auction separately. If they are really G4 condition, you may not get as much as you think for the coins. You have quite a few CC morgans in rather good condition (XF to MS). You may also want to consider a local auction where they auction coins some of the time. I live in a small town and go to a couple of local auctions in that category. The CC coins seem to go higher at the local auctions than the prices on ebay. At lot of the older buyers are uncomfortable with purchasing stuff on line and like to see the coins in person. It tends to raise up the price beyond the bay value.

I saw sets like these for sale on TV late at night not too long ago. They were being sold in the $4k range. I think a competent coin dealer could put together a set like this for $1,300-$1,400.

Matt; I hope your right. I've purchased some cc morgans over the past few weeks for about $200/each. They are in the F12 to VG20 range.

I agree with Matt's answer. Besides, most of the CC dates are quite common. Only the mintmark drives up prices on those, but not usually in lower grades as much as nice examples. I would think most of the $1300 a dealer might spend on assembling the set would probably result in just two of the coins, the rest being of minimal value.

Are these commonly found in G condition? I thought many of the dates rarely circulated???

Not knowing the series, I wonder if the set wouldn't be easier (and much more expensive) to put together in AU or MS.

Just wondering how "hard" it would be to find coins to complete this set in such a low grade state.

A few shops I visit in Vegas have five gallon buckets of Morgan CC dollars on low grades for around $25, so yes, I believe most are quite common in circulated states. Morgans did do quite a bit of circulating in the West where paper was often scorned.
