I stopped by and had a short chat with a couple of the CoinTalkers.
One was The Penny Lady and the other 900Fine and his wife.
There was the usual Friday morning crowd. Plenty of people but not so packed that it was hard to move and browse.

Then went to MFD and picked up the two coins he had ready for me.
    COIN #1
Nothing earth shaking but important to me since it completes my Birthyear Set.
The pictures don't truly show what the coin looks like; I have my usual problem of imaging proof coins.

    COIN #2
The latest addition to my IHC Set.
The reverse looks funny because I have my usual problem of capturing rainbow toning.
(Gee, I seem to have several imaging problems.)

    COIN #3
    The BIGGIE.
I had six candidates for that title.
Three I couldn't find at all and of the three I COULD find, this one was the winner.

Normally I'm in and out in 2-2½ hours, but between selling some items and searching for my BIGGIE coin I spent at least another hour.
    But it was worth it.

Beautiful coins! I really love the 1800 Draped dollar. I am, hoping to aquire one just for my type set some day. I suspect it would be wise to buy one that is slabbed to avoid buying one of those Chinese specials!

Very nice pick-ups. I too just got back from the Baltimore show. Visited Ricky at 900Fine, Northeast Numismatics & JJ Teaparty. When I was done shopping, had Todd of BlueCC take some photos so that I could upload them in to the registry.

This was my pickup from JJ Teaparty. First foray in to the 18th Century.

The dollar is nice. Not sure what you paid but I do know that slabbed type stuff ususally carries a hefty premium when you find it. Am always looking for similar items and they really aren't very plentiful at reasonable prices.
Also Texas that franklin is sharp.

    OMG ... Love that 1794 ... WOW

is it rude to ask how much it cost?
    (curious, but don't answer if it's a faux-pax)

It was $2500. Don't know if I paid too much or got a deal. I liked it and wanted it, so bought it.

My gut feeling is that is a Cohen-4a. Rarity-3. Lovely coin.

    Texas Jarhead, Nice Pickup!

I think the price you paid is close to the listing in the PCGS price guide so it looks like a fair price. I will have to look for one in a lower grade -- although i absolutely love yours.

Now that would be a hard coin to put away!!
