Those sell on eBay for about $2-3, postpaid, straight from the counterfeiters in China.

    ok so tell me

if these guys make fakes do they make them with the same content of silver ect or do you get like a nickle plated or something. i was wondering why there was so many morgan dollars listed on ebay,, i figured there would be alot less, due to age and time.. but maybe alot are fakes, i think the only thing is to buy the ones that got gradings from the national grading companies, but of coarse you get what you pay for..and with the fakes how maybe honest people are out there that wont tell you there fake or real..would make a great christmas gift as long as the person has them marked as replicas or fakes through print on coin or paper work to say that. i was at an auction a while back and there was a morgan dollar fake there, looked good on one side but the other side had a big ugly fake word imprinted on it lol..

If they were made after 1973 they are not legal to sell without being marked COPY.

    fake coins

yes i researched on the net and in canada they say its not illegal, i wouldnt buy anything anyway unless it was for novelty use, to puit on display i a reck room or something, but they would have to have fake imprinted into them some where, the sad thing is theres to many people being ripped off of good money they have saved to add to a hobby they love. i was reading about a guy in alberta canada who paid 4000.00 on some canada 50 cent pieces only to find out they were fakes from ebay seller, in quebec.. the guy who won the bid was a collecto for years and unfortunately he left positive feedback, before he actually really looked at the coins the weight was way off by like 3 grams and they were silver plated. i think the only way to assure you buy quality is if you know a person or sealer that is trust worthy or a graded coin from a reputable company..but to pay 4000.00 and find out its a fake from china i think id be so ****ed that i wouldnt know what to do.. and apparently the law could do nothing about it. the story is listed on the net, i even think there was a write up on ebay about these fake china items.
