Hello all. I picked up some of these over the past two years and have only rough grades for them. I'm only 15 and have a little trouble grading, so I would appreciate your advice. I will do these over a series of three posts as I have 5 coins that I need help with. Post 1: 1826 Lettered Edge Half, O-117a Saw this in a dealers case for a Fine price, and thought, though I wasn't sure, it was at least EF 45. 1854 Silver Three Cents Totally lost on this one.....
XF45 details on the half, looks like it has been cleaned at one time and has since retoned. The 3c silver is vf35 to me.
I believe your grading is appropriate, and supported by The Official A.N.A. "Grading Standards for United States Coins, 1977 Copyright" :thumb:
