I have had these Quarters for a while and wanted to see if I can get any idea on how much they are worth. I am not a collector and do not know the first thing about them. Just wanted an idea of how much they are worth and if I should keep them or just sell them if they are not that rare.

    Thank You,

Are they missing the clad layer? It doesn't look like it to me but that would make them quite rare and worth a lot more. If they're just dirty they are worth about 24 cents.

Yes they are missing the top layers. The Mississippi quarter is missing the tails side and the S Carolina quarter is missing the heads side. I had to take the pics with a camera phone.

Is the surface smooth or porous/rough? Also, is the edge silver or copper? The fact that half reverse the SC is "copper" is suspicious to me. Idk why. And one more question: Where did you get them?
Sorry for the questions, I just cant tell much with those pics. Somebody with more knowledge of missing layers will pop in here soon I'm sure.

the coins are smooth. The SC heads side is copper and the tails is the silver. The MS quarter the tails is copper and the heads side is silver. When you look at the side of the coin it is half silver and the side that is copper is copper. I will try and post better pics as soon as I can.

Did anyone have an estimated value?

Your pictures are nowhere near detailed enough for us to give any estimation of value, let alone if they have a missing clad layer. Use the macro settings on your camera, shoot it in natural light and with a dark background. Flash is a big no no.

Have you ever had them weighed? Any jeweler should be willing to weigh them for you.

If real, they seem to be priced around $100 for missing the complete layer. Ones missing only part of the clad layer seem to garner a substantial amount more. Best way to sell them would be to verify they're underweight and then send them off to get certified and graded.

They weigh 4.6G. I have received that request once when I first posted them to verify if they are real.
