I picked this guy up at a show this past weekend. I thought it was neat and wanted to share. Not often you see a coin graded PF25... unless it was only issued in proof. Usually they are considered to be just buisness strike coins because there isn't really a way to tell once they are this circulated. I would think that this piece got this circulated being someones pocket piece.

    Enjoy!

Whoa...very nice. I love those Patterns.
You keeping this? I doubt it since it's not a die cap :D

I remember seeing that. He had a couple other circulated patterns as well. Didn't ask him for aprice though since I knew I couldn't afford them. (I'd already spent my bundle.)

Yep ! This one was proof only. We sold a PR62 just like it at Philly. I had posted it on here a while back. Personally, I think this design is cool - and educational. I especially like the goloid metric composition on the back.

    Congrats, Matt ! Great piece.

I love proofs. Something about them always attracts me. Maybe it's because there's less of em ;)

So, who is the designer of this piece? My first guess would be William Barber, but George Morgan had very similar styling also.
