I need to get a digital camera, the scanner just kills all the luster on these coins but you get the idea.
A few of the S mint ones are beautiful strikes with great luster. conditions range from
    high XF to AU.
Started the collection about ten yrs ago but have picked up the pace the last few yrs.
I stated with the 1881 which i bought from Harlen Burke for $185 back in 1999.
Now you can't touch these for under $400 in any grade.

Very nice. I would have these pieces in Air-Tites or Kointains if they were mine. 2x2s are generally safe for long term storage but I don't use them for that purpose. Staples can cause problems and the mylar "windows" break easily.

    Wow!
    Nice!
A bit ambitious collecting a gold coin issue.
But probably profitable in the long run.
    Keep it up.

I keep them in the 2x2 s and then inside the pockets of a 20 coin mylar sheet so
i'm not too worried about staple damage. At some point i would like to upgrade to
air-tites or something similar both for better storage and more attractive display.
planing to stop when i fill the mylar page,i need 7 more, hope the prices don't shoot up much more.

Yeah somewhat ambitious, it's taken over 10yrs to get this far,I have 13 with 7 more to go and i don't want duplicate dates.
I ended up with 2 examples of the 1880s so i'll be looking to trade one of them in for
    a different date.
