A new twist on fake

    I was surfing the bay today and noticed this "contemporary" 1881 cc morgan silver dollar. I thought it was pretty clever of this Chinese seller to use that word in explaining this fake. When the buyer later finds out it is fake, the seller can just say, of course, it is a contemporary coin. The buyer and seller can than argue about the definition of contemporary, which to me means modern or current and not 1881.

    Strange...and you can tell it is fake. Look at the field area right next to Liberty's lips, and some of the main features are too thick.

    It's still a copy of a previously circulated coin with it's monetary value right there on the reverse. Therefore it is illegal to own in this country, and thus should its listing should be removed from ebay. I am going to report it.
