I bought an unopened roll of 1983-D dimes, anyone know of an estimated price for them? One end was opened to verify the D mintmark. Thanx...
I do not remember if it was in Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman or in What Do You Care What Other People Think? but the concept of an "unopened roll" is a lot like "the inside of a brick." You cannot know what is in the roll without opening it. You say that only one end was opened to verify the D mintmark, but that is, indeed, opening the roll. I think of all the "uncirculated" coins that pass from hand to hand at coin shows, conventions, buys and sells. My favorite was the Uncirculated Trade Dollar with chop marks.
I have 50 rolls of brand new never circulated 2010 Fed reserve sealed dimes ...should i hang onto them or is their content pretty much worthless at this point? lol
$85--$100.00 This is what most retail coin shops would sell a Gem Bu roll of 1983-D Dimes. http://www.lccoins.com/shop/index.php?target=categories&category_id=456
Thats some good info jello. I havn't even verified that they are 83-D's yet. Just recieved my 4th package in 5 days and have just glanced at them. If the 83-D's are really nice I'll send a couple your way. Thanx...
I would for 96 W. I have searched box after box and haven't found one yet. 50 of them for $100 ? Yep, I could go for that. lol
Those not interested in BU clad dimes rolls will be pleased to know that these are almost unavailable for any date and this goes twice over for original rolls. People just didn't save these. The most common is the '65 and then one of the latest dates followed by the '75-D and the '72-D. After this there just aren't enough to bother with a list. I'll wager your local coin shop not only can't provide a BU roll of the current date but doesn't have a single roll of any date in stock. If you do find one it's only because there is no demand for these so no one beat you to it. Clad quarters are even tougher.
