    Hello,

I was wondering if some of the experts here could identify the defect in this quarter? It was in a jar with hundreds of coins I got from my father. I have searched online for information and all roads pointed me here. I am attaching photos for you to see. The front of the coin is flat and shows no signs of deformation.

I appreciate your time and advice

It's bubbled from being in a fire.

    Agree with ikandiggit, fire.

I agree. Heat damage. A small air bubble inside the coin expanded when the coin was heated.
