Exactly. They knew it was post mint damage, and yet ripped someone off.

This may have been the way the OP asked " did I get took" ? ummmmm I think you did.

i was going to say nice sale, other than the $400 part. everything else in the ad is ok. if it sold for that without the false value id be ok with it. it probably is one of a kind. looks like it got caught in a toll booth or something.

However, it's not an error. Someone could sit at home and pump these things out.

theres a fine line between anything and anything else when greed comes into play. cant believe im saying this quote on a coin site, but money is the root of all evil.

okay....I'll say it....... actually the phrase is "For the love of money (and all it buys) placed before the love of God (in reality) is the root of all kinds of evil."

Reduced it's "The love of money is the root of all evil.":)

    Let's see?

eBay Auction started on Oct-20-10 at 01:05:02 PDT

There's a better than even chance that the OP is the eBay seller and NOT the buyer based solely upon the picture posted and the dates
of the original post and the eBay auction starting time.
It appears to be the same coin but the photo's are different and sinces its impossible to "preview" an eBay auction that is not yet live,
I can only assume that the poster and the seller are one and the same.

I am convinced that the OP and the seller are one and the same.

    On 10-20, kommie007 posted a question about this uncut sheet ( http://www.cointalk.com/showthread.php?t=135428&p=1018680&highlight=#post1018680 )
which he'd purchased from this eBay auction ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rt=nc&nma=true&item=360304657622&si=F5eHxce6Bx7eaqA1aj5ElUSc%252FSE%253D&viewitem= )= ) which I found in the "error dime" sellers feedback history. eBay item 360304657622 in case my links are honked.

    Shame on you kommie007 !

That's bad that someone would join here to get great, truthful, honest opinions from knowledgeable people who take time out of their day to help you out. Then you have people like the OP who go behind their and everyone else's back knowing its PMD to make a profit off someone, worse than that it could be someone on CT who got RIPPED.

I hope who ever bought that coin didn't use their few extra dollars; (especially in these hard times). To buy a "rare" $400 coin for a good deal. That's sickening.
