Anyone care to grade this for me, my neighbour gave me
a tin of coins and this was in it.
I realise grading from photographs is not always accurate and can be difficult.
It looks far better in hand .

Would that be the raised edge on the reverse above "STATES OF" ?

I can tell you that there is no way this coin grades below AU.... Without having it in hand and being able to verify the luster remains on all of the coin I wouldn't be able to tell if its anything more. You thanked your neighbor right?

    NICE COIN!
The "arrows at the date" type was only struck for 3 years.
    I agree with AU details.
Can't tell about luster or possible cleaning. That would require a much better picture or the coin in hand.

I see it as a great coin for a type set.

As an uneducated guess, I would also say AU.

    Thanks guys,
My feeling was AU by American grading standards, just needed some more opinions.
The coin has not been cleaned.
I paid my neighbour for the coins, he`s happy.
This was not the only gem in the tin........

I'm at AU and cleaned long ago based on the color in the image. Could be just the white balance used. A better image would probably tell more. Nice coin.
