1834 half cent coin

    Paid 10$ for this coin from a friend. Wondering how much it is worth.

    Why would someone sell an 1834 Half Cent for $10 is what I would like to know. :confused:

    I'm with ya, Gopher. Seems like a very nice coin for $10. I would call it VF20+ details, a little spot on the obverse net eac 15. Depending on the true color in hand (which usually differs from the image), I would guess that coin is an honest $40 any day, maybe more.

    I agree it's worth $10! You could likely sell it for $50 pretty easily.
