Another good way of getting pennies? (other than bank rolls)

    What is another good way of getting circulated pennies to check for wheaties other than going through rolls got at a local bank?

    Try grocery stores, small and large. I've have very good luck with rolls from them.

    Well grocery's/stores get all the rolls from bank so its same thing...i've heard some people going threw coin star machines if they let them (not sure how) and you can always search your friends bucket of change if they let you. I've found a wheatie 1921 D once in my friends bucket change. All i can think of for now.. :) Gud luk 2 u

    The grocery stores in my neighborhood get a lot of change from the kids at the school across the street. They can't be bothered driving to the bank with a sack full of pennies every few days so they're happy to sell them to me. I've gotten a a lot of older coins from these rolls. Also, whenever they have interesting banknotes, they offer them to me.
