Got this today at the shop down the road. Never been in there before.... I gotta go back! Seated half dimes- $5!!! Buff Heads- .25! Anyway got this. Worth anything? In american. Any history? Thanks
Dude, just wanted ya'lls input...... No need to be like that, anyway I trust the people on here more than I do some other site. If you have a problem with me asking a question, IGNORE me.......
I gave you my input and you'll probably get more... but don't only expect to get the immediate kind of input you want without doing some basic leg work yourself... don't just take someone else's word about the coin, you won't know if it's any more valid than what you'd find elsewhere so no reason asking here over any other site. If you followed through with my suggestive links, I did the search for you, you just have to select sites and read from there... read/learn.
From the values I have recieved, they have been spot on. As far as looking it up, Can you be more specific than GOOGLE? i dont mean to come off as being rude, which I may seem, but theres better ways to explain the Hows and to's..... Again I apologize if I came off as being rude, I value your oppinions. Thanks RB13
The basic thing you can do is put your search in Google and find world coin sites with information about your coin. Compare information from one site to another, compare images of coins they show to your own. You will learn A LOT more going through all the sites, you may find good sites worth book marking and in the mean time you can wait for posts to these threads to help you out. Also, search eBay and completed auctions in the Advanced Search page there. For high end coins, search Heritage Auctions, sign up for a free account and search the Auction Archives. The link I gave you "Google" will open up a funny page that inserts the keyword search for you, then it will pause, and a Google search results page with hits for your coin will open up in the browser.
Thank you very much, Again ignore my attitude/rudeness. I have had a death in the family, and Im trying to get everything organized. My uncle passed and left me his coin collection. I have no clue about coins but I thought cont. his collection would be a good way to pay my respects and be able to remember him. I bought these coins from a local shop just to add to his collection. Thank you for the link. Again please forgive my rudeness Thanks RB13
No worries. It sounds like you have a great plan! It's a great way to carry on the collection and honor him! There's a lot of great history to learn from coins and you may find you will relish finding it instead of just having it told to you by others as you get into all the details. :thumb:
