e-bid is better than ebay, but ebay can have quality notes. I got lucky with mine at an indoor flea market, so maybe that or any local coin shop. They always have notes at the ones I have gone to.
Neither www.ebid.com nor www.e-bid.com look like what I would have expected. Could you give me the link you're referring to? Thanks Dave
what grade are you looking for? Which type of 25cent fractional - 1st, 2nd, third series? do you want any 25 cent fractional in any grade, or a certain Friedberg number? auction sites like Ebay or the above Ebid.net (which i have never used) might offer something up. If that doesnt work, do a search on the internet for online stores. I have bought from several, and many other members have as well. I am sure between everyone here, we can offer reccomendations on the trustworthiness of many online shops.
can really only afford circulated condition which one is cheapest (and which fractional note <face value> is cheapest) I dont want anything missing edges or torn or mended just want a fractional note in my collection
There's been a few on ebay for around $25-$30 during the last month. Anything less than that and all you're going to get are the rougher ones. The show I went to last weekend had a couple but they were very tattered and were $50 and $75.
you can certainly get a fraction in VF or so for under $30, especially since yoyu dont mind which design or issue. The most likely suspect would be FR-1308 or FR-1309.... I occaisionaly see that note even in top grades pretty cheap! If you want one, but arent picky... just find a few of the auction sites, and keep searching them... eventually you can find the gem for quite cheap.
