This post is just to bring your attention to the Sedwick auction being held on the Internet over the next couple days. There are several nice coins which I am hoping to buy. The following links are nice coins that I am not planning to bid on. They are just examples of some interesting items for your viewing pleasure.

Here is one of three Alexander the Great Tetradrachems:

I have about a half dozen coins bookmarked that I plan to go after. I plan to place my max bids & then see how I did on Sunday after all the dust settles.

    Anyone else?....

Did anyone at CT get coins from the Sedwick auctions? I was outbid on several nice coins. I had my eyes on a couple South & Central American coins with counterstamps but the prices exceeded my max bids.

I was successful getting a high grade Brass Columbian Leprosy colony coin. I was also successful getting a very high grade 1 1/4 Centavo coin from the mid 1800s. I'll take photos when the coins arrive.

    Anyone else?....

These are the only two world coins I got on the Sedwick auction. These are the seller's photos.

I was successful getting a US bust dollar. I'll post those photos as soon as I receive it from Daniel Sedwick.

@Collect89: Did you manage to win all the coins you had your eye on?
Would you mind if I asked what the winning bid was for the coins you won?

I got a total of three out of six. The 1-1/2 Centavo had no competition so I got it at my starting bid of $20. The Leprosy coin had some interest at the same level as my max bid. I got it for my $50 max bid (or maybe my max was $60). These were both high grade, bright color, & have some pedigree so I expected to pay for them.

I got the Bust dollar in EF for about 60% of my max bid. I'm glad there were not any aggressive bidders working against me :) Apparently, there were not that many bidders in the Sedwick auction with interest in US material. This one, I'll post after I get it in hand.

The ones that I lost, I really lost big time. They were counterstamped coins of Brazil & Costa Rica that I thought might go for $150. All these counterstamped coins went for much more money than I was willing to pay.
