Looked like a really really nice 64 to me.. The seller had a couple others that sold for around the same price, but I thought this one looked nicer. I have a copy of the greysheet from August and bid is $3160, ask is $3360 so I feel like I did pretty good getting it for under bid. What do you guys think?
You did ok...but that same seller sold this on Aug-25-09 08:49 1909-S VDB Lincoln Cent MS64RB PCGS - No Reserve!!! (#260446771571) US $2,027.00 So you paid almost $900 more then that person so it depends on how you look at it.
True, but that one is RB and the one I bought is RD. I know it's not a $900 difference but it should bring a premium. I was looking at mostly 64's because I wanted to have something that looked nicer than a 63, but didn't want to spend over 5K on a 65.
It seems most of them are selling for just under 3k at major coin auction houses, but yours seem better than the ones at current auction.
One day that one will also be the last one I need to close my Lincoln sent. Down to needing four now. The key dates. I really like yours. Of course you pay extra for the RD. Its a bute.
